PinnacleCare Pharmacy Technician | Remote Job

PinnacleCare Pharmacy is hiring a Pharmacy Technician for our remote processing team. In this job, you must handle incoming prescriptions, checking them for accuracy, processing refills, and working through insurance issues before orders go out.

You will also be reviewing prescription data, catching errors before they become problems, and coordinating with pharmacists when something needs a second look.

Some days the order process is 60 orders, some days closer to 90. The work isn't complicated once you know the system, but you need to be someone who catches small errors and doesn't let things slip through. We use QS/1 as our pharmacy management system. Training takes about two weeks and covers everything from system navigation to our internal workflow.

PinnacleCare Pharmacy is a mail-order pharmacy based in Columbus, Ohio. It has operated since 2010 and serves patients across 40+ states, mostly people on long-term medications for chronic conditions. Our remote techs handle prescription processing, insurance verification, and order coordination all from home. Small team, low turnover. Most people who join us stay for a while.

Key Responsibilities

• Processing new and refill prescriptions in QS/1
• Reviewing prescriptions for completeness and accuracy
• Resolving insurance rejections and prior authorization requests
• Contacting prescriber offices for missing or unclear information
• Coordinating with the dispensing team on order status
• Maintaining accurate patient medication profiles
• Flagging anything unusual to the supervising pharmacist

 Skills Required

• Working knowledge of pharmacy billing and insurance adjudication
• Comfortable making outbound calls to doctor offices
• Fast and accurate data entry
• Good at staying organized when handling multiple open orders
• Knowledge of QS/1, PioneerRx, or similar pharmacy software
