Forklift Driver Job at Amazon's Coventry fulfilment centre - Immediate Start

Amazon's Coventry fulfilment centre is one of their busiest sites in the Midlands. In this Fulfilment center, they move thousands of orders every single day and the warehouse runs around the clock to keep up. Right now amazon is hiring Forklift Operators to join the team and keep stock moving efficiently around the site.

This is not a basic picker packer role. You will be operating a counterbalance or reach forklift truck to move pallets, load racking, and support the inbound and outbound teams. You need a valid forklift licence to apply everything else Amazon will sort out when you start.

Job Role:

• Operate a counterbalance or reach forklift truck safely within the warehouse
• Move pallets of stock from inbound receiving areas to storage locations
• Load and unload delivery vehicles at the warehouse dock
• Place stock onto high racking using a reach truck where required
• Carry out pre-shift vehicle checks and report any faults before operating
• Work alongside the warehouse team to hit daily throughput targets
• Keep all forklift operating areas clear and safe at all times
• Complete required paperwork for stock movements accurately

Pay and Shifts

• £13.50 to £15.50 per hour depending on shift and experience
• Full time 40 hours per week
• Day shifts and night shifts both available
• Night shift workers receive an additional hourly allowance
• Weekly pay every Friday
• Overtime available during peak periods
